Kath of Kath Eats Real Food is one of the original food bloggers, having started blogging in March of 2006! Kath began a 2.5-year human nutrition master’s degree program at Winthrop University in January 2008, and she’s on the road to becoming a Registered Dietitian. Her balanced perspective on food and fitness, passion for oatmeal, and delicious, nutritious and no-fuss recipes will have you coming back for second helpings . . . that is, if you’re not hooked already.

What better way to get to know a blogger than to get to know some of her favorite foods, fitness tips and other trivial tidbits. Kath’s favorites:

Breakfast Cereal: Quaker Oatmeal Squares! If I can’t have oats in a bowl, I need them in square form. :)
Oatmeal Combination: Pumpkin Cottage Cheese with Muffin on Top! And nut butter, of course.
Vegetable, and a quick way to prepare it: Kale, in chip form. See KERF for details!
Pre-Workout Snack: Half a banana, smothered in peanut butter
Ice Cream Treat: Coldstone cake batter with heath bar and oreo. Unbeatable.
Dessert: I would say ice cream, but I am also a huge fan of wedding cake. With lots and lots of buttercream icing.
Web Site For Recipes: Myrecipes.com, Recipezaar.com. Those are the only two you need!
Abs Exercise: Planks. I can always feel the burn and you work the whole core at once.
Song To Workout To: Freebird!!!! It starts slow and gets fast in the end. The longer version is just long enough to time a mile with!
Way To De-Stress: A glass of wine while cooking dinner.
Skin Care Product: BareMinerals Warmth. Couldn’t live without it!
Hair Care Product: Anything Suave. Particularly the Kids’ Coconut!
Makeup Secret Weapon: BareMinerals Warmth! It’s the panacea for bland.
Piece Of Advice To Give To Others: Know thyself and do whatever it takes to find happiness.
